I AM SO EXCITED to share these images with y’all today!!!  I have known this sweet girl for the last decade – basically, I’ve watched her grow up!  I’m pretty sure Hannah was in middle school when I met her, and our lives have been intertwined ever since.  (Fun fact:  This isn’t the first time she’s been in front of my camera.  I took her high school senior photos waaay back in the first few years of my little business, and it’s crazy to think that I’ll be photographing her WEDDING in just a few months!!)  I met Hannah because her family is incredibly special to Jason (and now to me, too!) – her parents had already poured so much into Jason by the time I met him, and in the 10+ years since then, they have so generously given their time, their counsel, and their love to both me and Jason.  They actually married us (!!!) and I’m so grateful that they have never stopped pouring into our marriage.  They are truly family to us, and we are so blessed to get to do life alongside them.

Hannah + Zach’s relationship started out as a friendship and slowly but surely grew into something deeper.  I haven’t known Zach as long as I’ve known Hannah, but in the time that I have known him, he’s proven himself to be faithful, humble, gentle, and selfless, and when I watch the two of them interact with each other, it’s so easy to see how well they compliment each other.  (Also, they make each other giggle a lot, which is kiiiind of my favorite!)  It has already been such a joy to get to be part of this season with them, and I am SO excited to get to spend their wedding day with them!  But I’m getting ahead of myself – first, I get to share my faves from their cozy winter engagement session with you!!!

We started our session at a beautiful overlook near Mountain Lake Lodge – and I’m not going to lie, I LOVE how well the colors in their outfits coordinated with the landscape behind them!

You might recognize this next location – Mountain Lake Lodge is where a large portion of the movie Dirty Dancing was filmed!

You know I can’t resist a twirl or two any time I have a bride-to-be in front of my camera wearing a cute dress! …

I love the variety of backgrounds we were able to get during their session – from the wide open landscape (above) to the stone lodge to the barn (below)!

Honestly, the soft cloud cover we had was SO PERFECT – we had beautiful, soft light everywhere we went, and we even got a teeny bit of glow during our time at the overlook!
