I cannot believe I’m sharing Hannah + Zach’s MATERNITY photos today! I feel like I say that every time I shoot these two – but genuinely, every new milestone I’ve gotten to capture for them has been so special! It’s so crazy to me that I met this girl when she was something like 10 years old (or maybe 12?!? It’s been so long, I don’t even remember!) and since then, I’ve captured her high school senior photos (waaaay back at the beginning of my shooting career!), then engagement, wedding, and anniversary photos for her + Zach … and now, they’re about to start their own little family with sweet baby Shiloh’s arrival! AND, Hannah’s due date is just a few days shy of what my due date was with Caleb, so our babies are going to be almost exactly one year apart! And I cannot WAIT to watch them play (and grow up) together! 🥰 (Plus, it’s been so, so fun to get to walk alongside her in her pregnancy exactly a year after I was living through the same season and experiencing some of the same joys and challenges!)

Another thing that ALWAYS happens when I photograph these two together? I have WAY too many favorites. Mostly because these two are just that adorable together – seriously. They are so very authentic with each other, and they so easily seem to forget that I’m there with a camera, and just get caught up in each moment together. And it just always makes for some of my most favorite images! Because pretty backgrounds and pretty outfits and flattering poses are all wonderful things, but what makes an image special (in my humble opinion) is when genuine, authentic affection is captured between people – and these two just make that part of my job too stinkin’ easy! (Plus they also always nail the pretty locations + well-coordinated outfits + being extremely photogenic parts of the equation, too!)

Hannah wanted a floral, garden feel for their maternity session since they’re having a girl, and I’m just obsessed with the way the setting at the Hahn Horticulture Gardens complimented Hannah’s sweet, soft-floral-print dress and Zach’s peachy-pink button down shirt! They popped against the mostly-green background, and then we even found some pretty pink blooms to incorporate at one shooting spot, and they literally could not have matched more perfectly with Zach’s shirt! Y’all, I’m just the happiest little photographer when that happens! Hahaha!
