Oh my gosh, y’all, these two. Not only are they adorable (as you’ll see when you scroll through my MANY faves from their session!); but they are also such a joy to be around. I had the pleasure of photographing an engagement session AND their wedding day for them, and every time I’ve spent time with these two, I leave feeling like I’ve just caught up with some good friends I haven’t seen in a while. (Is that weird, given the fact that we’ve literally only ever been together in person three times?! Haha!) I also leave feeling so, so grateful that this job allows me to connect with people like Kristin + Matt, when I otherwise may never have crossed paths with them!
Not only did I love every minute of catching up with them during their session, I’m also juuuust a little obsessed with their images! 😉 First of all, these two have impeccable style and they looked absolutely amazing. AND as if that wasn’t enough, they also chose to have their session at Swannanoa Palace near Charlottesville, which I think is one of the most unique, gorgeous locations in Virginia! It’s this beautiful old home that was built in the late 1800’s out of Italian marble and it legit looks like it belongs somewhere in Italy – but it’s nestled in the mountains of central Virginia. (If you’ve been around here for a while, you might recognize it from mine and Jason’s 10th anniversary session a couple of years ago!)
And can I just say, photographing these two cuties with Swannanoa as their backdrop was 100% magical. I am SO excited to share my many faves with you from Kristin + Matt’s maternity session!
Y’all, this dress. I’m so obsessed with it (full disclosure, it’s actually the same style I wore for mine + Jason’s maternity photos!) and I was SO EXCITED when Kristin stepped out of their car in it! (Also, I’m a little jealous because she’s tall enough that you could actually see that gorgeous scalloped lace hem when she wore it!)
Love that sweet bump shot (above) and this next portrait of Kristin! (Really, I have a ton of favorite portraits of Kristin! She carried her little babe so gracefully!)
This dress just had so many pretty details – the scalloped hem, scalloped sleeves, the illusion back. I loved capturing different shots that showed off those details!
Kristin had just the most perfect baby bump!
Love, love, love both of these next shots but especially obsessed with the bump shot on the right! 😍😍😍
Love, love, love this next shot of Kristin! Such a beautiful mama-to-be!
I’m not going to lie … I’m pretty sure I’m equally a fan of Kristin’s second dress! (I mean, it has a hi-lo hem with grown-up ruffles and a bow, so really, what’s not to love??)
Another one of my FAVORITE portraits of Kristin below … so stinkin’ gorgeous, girl!
GAH! Another fave of Kristin up next on the left! (But also how adorable is that one of both of them – okay, technically all three of them – on the right, too?)
Two more of my top top faves coming up next! GAH Kristin you just wore both of those dresses SO well!
Kristin, Matt, I can’t thank y’all enough for choosing to let me capture another big milestone in your lives. I had SO much fun with y’all exploring the grounds at Swannanoa, and I cannot WAIT to meet your sweet little babe!
