wilhelm family | lifestyle in-home session

I am so excited to share my favorites of this little family today!  Lindsay found me through a mutual friend (I sure do love when that happens!) and reached out to me just a few days before their little Olive made her debut into the world!  Their baby girl arrived earlier than expected, and rather than scramble to get ready for a true newborn session (it’s important to schedule within two weeks of baby’s arrival to capture that true, sleepy newborn stage!), Lindsay and Michael decided to do a lifestyle session once Olive was about six weeks old.

These two graciously welcomed me into their home for an afternoon, snuggled each other + their baby girl close, and chatted with me about their pregnancy journey and what life had been like since this little beauty arrived (with a head full of dark, curly hair!) and made them parents.  It’s always such a joy and an honor to get to catch a glimpse of life for a brand new family, and these three were no exception.  I loved getting to hear about their journey and just getting to know these two as a couple!  (Also, I was mid-way through my first trimester on the day of their session, and Lindsay was kind enough to share her go-to pregnancy breakfast food with me – which I ended up eating every day for the next week!  Haha!)

OK, friends, enjoy my favorite moments from the Wilhelm family’s lifestyle session!

Can we just talk about the fact that Lindsay and Michael were waiting on construction to be finished on their new home (so they were prepping for a move in the very near future!) but they still managed to put together a sweet little nursery to bring baby girl home to!   You’d never know this space was really only temporary!

This next one is easily one of my top faves!

I love how much hair this little girl has, and how curly it is!  (Also, did you notice her bow matches her mama’s sweater perfectly?!  Would you believe Lindsay told me that was a happy accident?!)

Here’s another fave – I love capturing little close-ups of baby fingers!

Love, love, love both of these next two shots – but especially the one on the right, because baby yawns are the cutest!

Lindsay, Michael, thank you for inviting me into your home and letting me spend the afternoon with you + your sweet baby girl!
