Y’all, I seriously can. not. get. enough. of these three!
I know Mary Beth and Zak through our church, but honestly, their session was the first time I’ve been able to spend time with them one-on-one, rather than in a large group, and I just loved getting to know them a little bit better while we created some really beautiful images of this season. (Also, one bonus that comes along with almost all newborn sessions: getting to meet at least one grandma while I’m there. I got to hang out with Mary Beth’s mom for almost the entire baby-only portion of the session and I loved every minute of hearing about her story, too!)
Mary Beth and Zak bought their first home a few months ago, just in time to get settled in and put the nursery together before Annabeth’s arrival! I loved the soft, neutral colors (with a little bit of girly pink in there for good measure!) that Mary Beth used in the nursery – it made such a clean, simple backdrop for their images (aka it was basically a dream to shoot in!) and I think it really lets you focus on the two of them and their brand new baby girl, which is what my little photographer heart lives for. These two are just smitten with their sweet babe, and I absolutely loved getting to capture what life looks like for them in these first few weeks of being parents!
Enjoy my (many) favorites from my time with these three!
Have I mentioned I’m a *huge* fan of baby’s name being displayed as art in the nursery?? Why is that so dang cute every single time?!
I feel like we also need to acknowledge the fact that Mary Beth + Zak did an amazing job with their outfits for our session. I’m such a fan of their choices!
Y’all …. Annabeth has the cutest little head full of dark hair, doesn’t she??
Ummm, can you EVEN with her sleepy little smile in this next shot on the right??
Annabeth was so alert for parts of our session – I love when I’m able to get a few good shots of baby looking at / interacting with mama + daddy!
Cute little smiles for mama …
The hat and blanket in this next shot were actually knit by an aunt on Mary Beth’s side of the family! Aren’t they so cute??
Oh, little baby fingers and little baby yawns. I’ll never get tired of photographing them!
Mary Beth, Zak, thank you for trusting me to capture this precious, fleeting season for you – and for inviting me into your home for an afternoon. I loved every minute of it, and I’m such a fan of the images we created together!
Aww, Lindsey!! These are just precious!! You did a fantastic work capturing our sweet Annabeth! What a blessing!
Thank you Melissa!! I’m so glad you love the photos, and it was such a pleasure to meet you and get to chat with you during their session!
