Michelle + Edwin said “I do” on a beautiful, sunny Tuesday afternoon with a super relaxed, casual ceremony at one of the overlooks along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd!  They jumped onto my calendar just 10 days before their date – at first, they weren’t going to have a professional photographer there at all – but I’m so glad they found their way to me, and that they have professional photos to remember their wedding day by!  I didn’t get to work with them quite as long as I normally get to work with my wedding clients, but I’m so glad I had the opportunity to get to know these two just a little during our quick planning process!  I think what I loved the most about them was that they were so sweet + sentimental.  I mean, they chose to get married on a Tuesday because it was their dating anniversary!  It doesn’t get much more sentimental than that!

It was super windy on the overlook, but I’m not going to lie – I think the wind blowing Michelle’s hair off to the side adds a little extra romance to their images!

Bright sunny days can present some challenges when it comes to finding good light for portraits, but it can also make for some really beautiful black + white images – I love how the light just makes these two pop off the background in black + white (this next shot on the right)!

Michelle, Edwin, thank you for allowing me to be part of this day with you!  I so enjoyed spending the afternoon with you and I’m SO glad you have some professional images to remember this day by!  😉
