I’m not sure if they realized it or not, but this little family was actually the first newborn session I’ve photographed with older siblings!!  The process was a little different (for me), dividing up our time between sibling photos, parent photos, and whole family photos, but I just love how every one of these images turned out!  (Also, I’m not going to lie.  I’m such a fan of the soft blush + neutral colors and the pretty florals Amber incorporated into baby Maelyn’s nursery!)

Five years ago, Amber and Nick became parents when their twin girls, Avery and Emsley, arrived.  And a couple of weeks ago, they brought another sweet baby girl, Maelyn, home from the hospital.  Her big sisters (and her mama + daddy) are so smitten with her, and it was SO fun to get to capture these two older girls falling in love with their baby sister!  And Maelyn was one of the most alert newborns I’ve ever photographed, so we got some of the sweetest little sleepy smiles and yawns out of her!!  Amber told me several times throughout their session how much she was intentionally trying to savor this sweet season because she knows how fast it will go by, so I’m super grateful I’m the girl behind the camera who got to capture each of these priceless moments for them!

Avery and Emsley wanted to include some of their favorite toys in their session, and I love this because it’s so true to this season of their little lives!

Gosh, I adore this next image so, so, so much!!  It’s such a sweet, natural, in-between moment of these two big sisters falling in love with their baby sister.
