ashley + adam | snowy maternity session at virginia tech

Some people might call Ashley + Adam brave for scheduling a sunrise maternity session … in January … with a 4-year-old in tow. (My hat’s off to them, for sure.) And y’all, it ended up being every bit of the quintessential winter weather session. Temps were in the TEENS, and there was still snow on the ground from the day before! To say it was cold seems like an understatement … But these three had the BEST attitudes about it – even Jack had genuine smiles for me all the way through till the end of the session – and I’ve got to say, it was SO. WORTH. IT. That morning winter light reflecting off the snow-capped trees on the VT campus was stinkin’ GORGEOUS! Plus, these three (okay, *technically* four) sure do clean up pretty good, if you ask me. 😉😍👌🏻

We started off at the Duck Pond and worked our way up to one of my favorite little courtyards on campus, and oh my GOSH I had the hardest time choosing favorites because every location was winter perfection, and it was ridiculously easy to get genuine laughs out of these three together … and honestly, y’all, that’s a recipe for beautiful images every. single. time. I am SO excited to share my faves from Ashley, Adam, and Jack’s session!!!

It was constant joy, constant laughter around these three – and I loved every minute of it!

We made a quick little pit stop at this bridge on our way from the Duck Pond onto campus proper, and what a winter wonderland it was! (With a little bit of fall leaves left on a few of the trees – haha!)

This next location is one of my GO-TO spots on campus – I have yet to NOT find pretty light here, no matter what time of day or how sunny / overcast it is! We ended up with some beautiful glow here once the sun rose above the buildings!

Okay, so it was not actually snowing while we were shooting … but there were a few moments where the wind blew some fresh flakes off of the trees, and it legit looks like fresh little flakes falling from the sky and I LOVEEE ITT! (See below.)
