ciera + travis | springtime maternity session at claytor lake

Ciera + Travis are adding a THIRD baby girl to their family, but this was the very first time they’ve done maternity photos – and it was such an honor to be the photographer who got to capture this season for them!  Not only did we get to capture a TON of portraits of the two of them (and that perfect baby bump, of course!); we also got to include their older two girls, Layla and Winter, and capture some family moments, too.  There’s a seven year difference between the two older girls, and it was so sweet to watch them interact together – I could tell Layla must be a huge help around the house, because she was amazing with Winter!  Always willing to help us coax a smile when the girls were in front of the camera, or keep Winter entertained while we were shooting just Ciera + Travis!  Not to mention, it was obvious (from the way Travis kept Ciera laughing the entire evening) that these two are the kind of couple who find the joy in life, no matter the circumstances, and I think that shows in their images!

I had SO much fun meeting and spending an evening with this little family and I am SO excited to share my favorites from our time together at Claytor Lake!

Love this next shot of Winter holding her mama’s hand while they walked … in their current season of life, this girl is a mama’s girl all the way, and I love how we were able to capture that in their photos!

Love both of these next shots, but especially this sweet shot of Ciera + Travis on the left!

I love the magic of all the spring petals floating through the air toward the girls in this next shot!  We got so lucky with our timing to catch all of these trees in bloom at Claytor Lake on the day of our session!

Love this sweet bump shot up next on the left!

GAH!  I’m so glad they decided to have maternity photos done, because this perfect little bump for sure needed to be documented!  Ciera, you are one gorgeous mama!

Love this sweet shot of Winter!

Aaaaaand FAVE shot of this beautiful mama, up next!

Another fave bump shot up next on the right!  (Also, love Ciera’s dress and how well it flattered her + that perfect bump!)

I’ve got to end with one of my favorite family candids … I love, love, love the joy on everyone’s faces in this next shot!

Ciera, Travis, thank you again for trusting me to capture this season of life for y’all and your girls!  I cannot tell you how much fun I had spending the evening with y’all and I am so excited for the arrival of your newest baby girl!

Hi Kera! That’s a bit of a personal question to ask, and I don’t feel it would be my place to share that information, even if I did know the answer to your question. (I will also say that I don’t believe my clients have any obligation to answer that question, either – especially on such a public forum as this.) Please note that any further comments about this will be deleted as I don’t feel that topic is appropriate for this forum. I appreciate (in advance) your respecting that decision!
