KellyAnne + Jon’s wedding day was such a joy to be a part of!  From the moment the girls arrived on the Celebrations property that morning, excitement filled the crisp fall air – and every inch of the pool pavilion where these two would celebrate with all of their guests later that evening!  After her mama and her best girls helped her into her dress, KellyAnne shared an emotional first look with her dad, and not long after that, the sweetest first look with her groom!  They said “I do” beside the water, and spent the better part of the evening mingling and dancing with their guests until their sparkler send-off!

From the beginning of the day all the way to the end, it was such a privilege to capture every one of these sweet moments for the new Mr + Mrs and their families!  I am SO excited to share my favorites from KellyAnne + Jon’s wedding day with y’all!

KellyAnne incorporated so many heirloom treasures into their day – one of which was adding part of her mom’s wedding dress into her bouquet!

KellyAnne also carried a sixpence that has been passed down through several generations of the women in her family!

Celebrations has the most gorgeous hallway of windows near the bridal suite – and I’m legitimately OBSESSED with KellyAnne’s bridal portraits in that hallway!

I love that KellyAnne shared a first look with her dad … it was the sweetest!

Meanwhile, Jon was waiting for his turn to finally see his bride, and I love this shot Carissa got of him while he and the boys were waiting patiently!

Jon and KellyAnne had written notes to each other to read before they saw each other!

And finally, they got to see each other.  There were so many sweet embraces (and a few deep breaths) during their first look!

Then it was time for our first round of bride + groom portraits!  And y’all, I have SO. MANY. FAVES!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love shooting with cathedral veils?!  But can you blame me though??

I love, love, love this next black + white!

Jon gave his groomsmen monogrammed, leather-wrapped flasks to carry in their jackets on wedding day and I thought they were so classy!  (Also I love this shot Carissa grabbed of one of the bridesmaids’ bouquets!)

Before we knew it, it was ceremony time!

Love this look Carissa captured between KellyAnne and her dad in the moment they started their walk down the aisle!

KellyAnne + Jon’s parents joined together in speaking a blessing over the new husband + wife!

KellyAnne + Jon incorporated an exchange of roses into their ceremony, with the promise to exchange roses on each of their wedding anniversaries!

The videographer had a drone with him, and this is what happened when he flew it over the water in front of us!

We were ahead of schedule at this point in the day, so we took advantage of the opportunity to grab some more bride + groom portraits of these two cuties!  And I’m so glad we did – I have just as many favorites from this part of the day as I do from their first look portraits!!!

I love that Carissa thought to grab this shot of KellyAnne’s yellow shoe popping out underneath her dress as they walked!

Y’all, the dance floor was BY THE POOL!  First time I’ve ever photographed a first dance by a pool!  (And I love Carissa’s angle on the first dance – keep scrolling for that!)!

Reason #523 you want two photographers at your wedding:  so one of them can shoot your first dance through the pool fountain, of course.

After formal dances and dinner, we had one last opportunity for bride + groom portraits!  Finally, as the sun was setting, we had soft light over the water and we took a few bride + groom portraits just a few feet away from where they exchanged their vows!

We lost light fast, but gosh I love this last portrait of the day in black + white:

Once the sun went down, the party started – and the DJ kicked things off with toasts + cake!

Aaaaaand then the dance floor opened up on the pool deck and it stayed full the rest of the night!

KellyAnne + Jon met while they were in school at JMU, and I love that we grabbed a shot of ALL their JMU friends together during party dancing!

KellyAnne, Jon, thank you so much for inviting me into this season of life with you and allowing me to tag along with you on your wedding day!  I loved capturing your wedding day and I hope you’ve loved re-living it as you look through my favorite images of the day!!
