I know I’ve said this before, but I’m pretty sure it will always be true, so I’ll probably never stop saying it – it is the biggest honor when personal friends of ours trust me to be their photographer!  Jason and I have been abundantly blessed with new friendships this year, and Maggie + Josh are one of the precious couples we’ve grown close to in this season, so I was super excited when they told me they wanted to do an anniversary session this year!!!  (And then Maggie made my day again when she told me they wanted to shoot at one of my absolute favorite locations – Carvin’s Cove!)

One of my favorite things about shooting anniversary sessions is the fact that a couple has a certain ease about them once they’ve weathered a few years of marriage together.  The excitement of the newlywed season has passed, they’ve most likely endured a few ups and downs along the way, and as a result, they’ve grown into a place of knowing each other and caring for each other on a deeper level.  It brings a confidence and an intimacy between the two of them that is so sweet to witness, and it makes my job SUCH a joy!  Maggie + Josh are 100% an example of this – they’re confident in who they are together and what they mean to each other, and it shows in every one of their images.  They’ll be celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary this week (!!!), and I loved every minute of capturing this season for them.  Happy (early) Anniversary, Maggie + Josh!  I loved spending the evening with y’all in front of my camera, and I hope you love my favorite moments from our time together as much as I do!!

These two were such good sports for me – it was a bit of a balancing act standing on the rocks of the jetty, but my heavens, it was WORTH IT!!!
