emily + clint | diamond v farm wedding

Oh my gosh, y’all.  Emily + Clint’s wedding day was one of the most relaxed (and photog-friendly!) wedding days I have ever had the pleasure of being part of.  They scheduled their ceremony for late morning, which was easy to do since they chose not to have a designated bridal party, and it also meant that their guests were able to enjoy a leisurely afternoon reception that included plenty of time for yummy food, lawn games, and even a little cake + dancing.  🙂  But my personal favorite part about Emily + Clint’s day?  They chose to have a First Look AND to build in extra portrait time during golden hour, after the party was over.  Because of those two little decisions, we left Diamond V Farm with SO. MANY. gorgeous bride + groom portraits from their day and I legitimately had the hardest time narrowing down which ones to share today!

Emily + Clint are two of the kindest, most considerate people you’ll ever meet – and it was so evident throughout their wedding day, from the way they scheduled our timeline so that they wouldn’t keep their guests waiting too long during any one part of the day, to little touches like making a few blankets available during the ceremony just in case there was a fall chill in the air (which there was!), and even including a full place setting at one of their guest tables for little old me.  (Did I mention they’re the sweetest??  And so were their guests – I was welcomed generously by my table mates and I SO enjoyed getting to know them while I scarfed down my delicious food!!)  Every friend + family member in attendance was so genuinely happy for Emily + Clint, and it was just such a joy to be there and to celebrate with them.  I hope y’all love looking through these images as much as I enjoyed taking them!

This next one of Emily’s flower crown with her shoes?!  Definitely a new fave in my book!

I loved Emily’s dress – simple, romantic, with just a touch of vintage in the crocheted lace.  And it fit her perfectly!  Just you wait + see!  😉

Emily decided to go with dried florals – and they fit right in with her other vintage-inspired details!

The stone in Emily’s necklace was raw, uncut diamond and I loved it!

Emily didn’t have a “formal” bridal party, but she certainly had no shortage of precious ladies by her side to help her celebrate (and get ready!) that morning!

Then it was time to go see Clint for their First Look!  We were able to have their First Look at their ceremony site, and I love that they shared two precious moments in that same spot that day – seeing each other for the first time, and promising forever.

After they’d shared a few hugs and a few private moments together, it was time for our first round of bride + groom portraits!  It’s not every wedding day that we’re able to take bride + groom portraits at the altar or at the ceremony site, but I love when it works out that way!

Emily … you are STUNNING!  (and Clint was looking pretty dapper, too. ;))

And before we knew it, it was time to get married!!

I love these next two images … proof that a First Look doesn’t take anything away from those precious moments when a bride walks down the aisle to her groom!  <3

Emily’s best friend performed a reading during the ceremony and it had everyone in tears!

Emily + Clint wrote their own vows, which I love!

Reception time!

I love the grand chandeliers inside Diamond V Farm’s barn!

LOVED their place cards attached to vintage skeleton keys!

Emily + Clint didn’t plan on sharing a formal “first dance” but decided to have one spontaneously, with some encouragement from their guests.  😉

Emily  + Clint’s pug, Otis, joined the reception for a few minutes and I love this next shot on the left of him with Emily!

Instead of rice, Emily + Clint’s guests tossed lavender buds during their exit – and I love how these shots turned out!

After the festivities were over and guests had said their goodbyes and well wishes, we had built in an entire hour in the best light of the day, just for bride + groom portraits!  (aka a wedding photographer’s dream come true!)  We found beautiful, glowy light on the property and I’m not going to lie.  All kinds of bride + groom portrait magic happened.

Love that we had time for some extra individual portraits, too – I’m a little obsessed with these bridal portraits of Em!
