I cannot believe it’s already been a year since I first met the Holzer family, when Kelly + Matt invited me into their home (and into their lives) to photograph a newborn session for them after little miss Audrey arrived!  I have loved getting to know them a little better as I’ve followed along with them on social media over the last year, and I was SO thrilled when Kelly reached out to me about doing a family session this year!  We met at one of my favorite session locations here in the mountains of southwest Virginia – Carvin’s Cove.  It’s the perfect combination of mountains + water … and y’all, it was definitely showing off for us that afternoon.  The GLOW in these images is kind of magical.  (And these three could not be ANY stinkin’ cuter!)

It was easy to see during our session that Kelly + Matt have settled into their new roles as mom and dad in the best way, and they’ve learned how to work as an amazing team together to keep up with this precious little babe!  They were both so patient and so relaxed during our session (which I realize is not easy to do when you’re corralling a one-year-old for photos!), and they just made it such a joy to spend the evening with them!  (Plus, it’s obvious that this little girl is SO loved – and she knows it!)  It was such an honor to capture another sweet season of life for them, and I am SO excited to share my favorites with you today!!

 

This little girl was on. the. move!  I don’t know if Kelly + Matt expected to get such a workout chasing their little babe up and down the dock, but bless their hearts, they never complained – and we got some super cute candids in the process!  I love this next one!

Kelly, Matt, thank y’all again for allowing me to capture another precious season in your lives!  I so enjoyed catching up with you and capturing a little glimpse of what life is like for you right now.  I hope we’ve created memories you’ll treasure forever!
