Tracy and Ken told me during their engagement session that they were planning a casual, intimate wedding day – and I love how they were able to pull that off with just the right balance of classy, vintage-inspired details (I felt like Tracy’s bridal look was very Audrey Hepburn inspired!) as well as fun, personal touches that made the day unique to them and their people! Their bridal party was made up of some of their closest friends as well as each of their children, and let me tell you, they were an entertaining group – they kept me laughing all day long! As the day unfolded, from the First Look to the ceremony to the toasts at the reception, it was evident how grateful Tracy and Ken are that they have found each other, and how happy their friends and family were to be there to celebrate with them as they committed forever to each other. From beginning to end, this was such a fun wedding day to be part of, and I’m so excited to share my favorite images with y’all today!!
Love this shot on the left that Carissa took of some of Ken’s details!
I couldn’t believe it when Tracy told me she DIYed this ring box! It was such a perfect accessory to photograph their rings with!
I love that Tracy’s daughter was in her bridal party and got to spend the morning with her!
Nesselrod’s bridal suite had the prettiest light that morning!
When I met Tracy and Ken at our initial consultation, they had never heard of the idea of a First Look – so I explained that it involves building a few minutes into the wedding day timeline just so that they can see each other, and share a private moment together, before the ceremony. Before I could even finish my sentence, they were both tearing up at the thought and I had a feeling then that their First Look would an emotional one. I wasn’t wrong…
Once the tears were dried up, we took bride + groom portraits out on Nesselrod’s front lawn!
We even had time for a little twirling …
The guys and gals joined us for a few bridal party portraits before the ceremony … I love how sharp this group looks in navy + gray!
Love this next moment – Tracy’s looking back at her two sons and her daughter!
Love this next shot – the only way we could get this cutie to smile was when her grandfather (Ken) was holding her! She just adores him!
Then it was time to say “I do!”
Here’s one of those personal touches I mentioned earlier – Nesselrod had allowed Tracy and Ken to bury a bottle of bourbon one month before the wedding day (to keep the rain away!) and they dug it back up after the ceremony and shared a shot of bourbon with their bridal party!
Tracy and Ken invited guests to join them for the second half of their first dance as husband + wife!
After the cake was served, we snuck out for a few “golden hour” bride + groom portraits! My coverage actually ended before sunset, but we were still able to capture a little glow during the early part of golden hour!
Yet another personal touch – Ken made this photo booth!!
Once the formal events were over, the entire bridal party changed into coordinating pairs of Converse sneakers!
Tracy, Ken, it was a pleasure being part of this season with y’all – thank you for allowing me to share it with you!!! I hope you’ve enjoyed re-living your wedding day through a few of my favorite images!
