I really wanted to attend this workshop. Like, I’ve followed Abby Grace for a couple of years. I had seen the previous A Practical Wedding Workshops hit her blog and I knew what an amazing day she always had planned for her attendees. I had already decided hers was the first workshop I wanted to invest in as my little business grew. I knew she had one coming up and I knew this sweet new friend of mine (Kaitlyn) would be helping Abby host her attendees, and I so wanted to be a part of it! I wasn’t sure it would work out for me to attend a workshop this early in my business, but it did – and what a blessing it was!
The workshop was everything I knew it would be, and then some. Abby and Matt welcomed us into their home for the entire day. (Confession: I definitely had a fan girl moment when Abby greeted me at the front door!) Abby shared so freely with us – everything from how she organizes her wedding day equipment in her Think Tank, to posing tips, to her best business practices, and anything in between! She took us step-by-step through her process on a wedding day, from start to finish. I left with PAGES full of notes… and with greater confidence in my ability to serve my future couples on their wedding day! And of course, Abby and this talented group of vendors put together the most beautiful French-inspired styled shoot, and it had us all drooling!
But I think what surprised me the most about this experience was how encouraged I was when I left Abby and Matt’s home that night. Encouraged to serve my clients the best that I can. Encouraged to take my work to another level (and feeling equipped to do it!). Encouraged to step outside of my comfort zone. Encouraged to encourage others. Encouraged to dream. I left this workshop with many sweet new friends and a full heart. And I’m so grateful.
I also left with a whole lot of pretty on my memory cards … get those pinning fingers ready and enjoy my favorites from this romantic, French-inspired styled shoot!
But first, check out the amazing creative team that made this gorgeousness possible!
Amanda Veronee // florals
Katherine Elizabeth Bridal // dress design
Sincerely Amy Designs // calligraphy
Alison Harper & Co // hair & makeup
Side note: I adored all of the gold accents on this table. GAH!
How adorable is this sweet couple who volunteered to be our models for a day?! They killed it!
These FLORALS! Oh my gosh, they were stunning!
Okay, HOW adorable are these macarons?!? And trust me, they were every bit as delicious as they look.
Then, as if all of that wasn’t enough, Abby also took new head shots for all of the attendees! YAY!
The fabulous boss ladies below made this day happen and made it SO wonderful for all of the attendees! Thank you, Abby and Kaitlyn!
P.S., Kaitlyn – I’m sorry for taking a picture of you instead of offering to carry something for you…
Lindsey I am SO happy you were able to come in November! And I’m so grateful you took so much away from it all- reading your recap was such an encouragement! I can’t wait to watch you grow, girl.
Thank you so much, Abby! 🙂
