Ohhhh you guys. I’m SO excited to share this session today!!! From the moment she reached out to me, I knew I was going to love working with Teri – I’m so, so glad she found me! At one point as we emailed back and forth planning for the session, she told me that her and Daniel had never had any portraits taken together in natural light and an outdoor setting, so it was important to them that we made sure to get some beautiful, romantic, fine art portraits of just the two of them during our time together, and I was SO on board with that! (I mean, photographing couples is kind of my jam.) What an incredible honor to be the photographer who gets to capture their first professional photos in the 15 years since their wedding day! I know, I know – they don’t look old enough to have been together for that long. But when you fall in love in high school, you get a head start on the rest of us… 😉
Based on our emails ahead of time, I had no doubt they were going to look AH-mazing, and sure enough they killed it in the outfit department! (For two sets of outfits, too! I’m so impressed with you, Teri!) We had the most beautiful glowy light for our whole session – aka the stuff photographer’s dreams are made of – and I honestly think I could have photographed this little fam all. day.
Teri, Daniel, I had the best time getting to know y’all and your kiddos and I am SO proud of your images – I can’t wait for you to see them!!
I love, love, love both of these next shots! GAH that light, their outfits, Cora’s happy little grin looking down at her mama! <3 (Also, how stinkin’ amazing do Teri + Daniel look?! These two made it so easy on me!)
I LOVE this next one! Teri, you are beautiful!
Loved Cora’s little floral headband! (And equally loved her big brother’s fedora!)
Y’all, that LIGHT! These girls look like angels!
Love this next shot of Noah! Such a photogenic kid!
Once the light got a little softer, we switched outfits and took advantage of the best mountain views at Heritage Park! (And this is when we got to focus more on getting Teri + Daniel some stunning portraits, and giving the kids a little break!)
I love, love, love these walking shots we took. So romantic and so representative of walking through 20 years together hand-in-hand, am I right??
Teri, these solo portraits of you are some of my FAVES! So breathtaking!
GAH this next one is such a fave! I loved how flowy Teri’s dress was – perfect for twirling!
This next black + white is another fave of mine! So timeless + romantic!
This next one … possibly my most favorite image of these two! (Also, I’m pretty sure these southwest Virginia mountains were showing off for these two that day!)
Teri, Daniel, I can’t thank you enough for giving me the honor of being the very first photographer to get to photograph you two + your sweet kiddos. It was a joy and a pleasure and I hope I get to do it again someday!
Oh, Lindsey…these are BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you so much for working with us. I wish we had done it about 20 lbs ago, LOL. But then we wouldn’t have had our two precious babies. Thank you for capturing so many beautiful shots of our little family. You can’t even tell Cora threw a fit through the entire shoot! Love them 🙂
Teri, I’m so, so, SO glad that you love them! Yours is already one of my favorite sessions to date, and I cannot WAIT to get your full, final gallery to you so you can see ALL of them!!!
