Couples like these two seriously make my job too easy! Rachel and Tim make each other smile effortlessly, and whether we were walking through the woods or slow dancing by the water, they were at ease as long as they were in each other’s arms – and that’s the magic, y’all. 😉 Their joy was contagious and it shines through in every single one of their images! I absolutely loved getting to spend the evening with these two, learning more about them and hearing all about their wedding plans so far (one of my favorite parts about engagement sessions!)!
Rachel and Tim chose to have their engagement session at Carvins Cove Reservoir in Roanoke and I have to say, it was just perfect! The fall colors were just starting to come out on the trees, and the sun and whispy clouds worked together to give us a soft glow over the mountains and just the right shimmer on the water. Rachel’s ring is a gorgeous aquamarine stone set in the most stunning rose gold band! I love it so much!

We made the switch from our wooded setting to the water’s edge right as the sun was getting close to the horizon, and a few whispy clouds over the sun created the softest glow on the mountains! It was pretty magical. 😉
