When Emily first contacted me about shooting their newborn session, we had some scheduling challenges and we weren’t 100% sure we would be able to work it out, but thankfully, the stars aligned (so to speak) and we were able to make it happen! And I’m so glad, because I so enjoyed getting to know this new mama and daddy, and their sweet baby girl! Emily and Chris have been together over 10 years (they have known each other since high school)! And as he told me the highlights of their history together during our session, he paused and said something to the effect of, “and it’s crazy to think that now, here we are, with a baby!”
Little miss Kennedy was not even three weeks old at our session, but Chris and Emily were already existing so naturally in their new roles of mom and dad. It’s always amazing to me how quickly new moms and dads are able to learn what their little one needs, and to recognize when they need it! It was such a pleasure to spend an afternoon with this brand new little family, and I am so excited to share some of my favorite images with y’all!
Ahh, this next one is a FAVE! So, so precious.
ahhh, baby yawns!
oh. my. goodnesss! y’all. the cuteness.
Love, love, love both of these next shots!
And this one of daddy and his baby girl!
I love this one because it’s how this little girl loves to sleep – she wriggles her arms out of her swaddle and sleeps with her hands up by her head!
If you look closely, you can see this baby girl smiling at her mama and daddy in this next shot on the right! It’s enough to make your heart melt!
I so love this next shot! Yay for this new little happy family!
y’all, this next one. all the heart eyes for this little angel!
baby toes <3
I saved my most favorite image for last … I just ADORE this sweet moment! <3 <3 <3
Emily and Chris, thank you so much for sharing an afternoon (and a little glimpse of your life) with me! I loved every minute of it!
