I’m so glad I had the opportunity to be Hillary Gaskins Photography ‘s second shooter for this wedding back in May! (P.S., if you haven’t already seen Hillary’s blog post featuring these two cuties and their wedding day, check it out here!) It was my first time shooting with Hillary, and I enjoyed working with her so much! Not to mention, Morgan and Aaron (despite never having met me before their wedding day!) were so gracious and so welcoming that I never even felt like a stranger. And I can honestly say that by the end of their day, I most definitely walked away with two new friends! #winning!
Hillary is one of those incredibly generous photographers who allows her second shooters to not only keep the images they captured on a wedding day, but also to share them on their blog and social media pages – so I wanted to share just a few of my favorite moments from Morgan & Aaron’s sweet wedding day!
I’m a sucker for some gorgeous bling (really, though, what girl isn’t?), so we’ll start there! ; )
One of the benefits of having two photographers is that the second shooter can often capture images of the groom’s details and his getting ready portion of the day, while the primary photographer is capturing those shots of the bride!
Morgan and Aaron chose not to do a first look, and instead, shared a quiet prayer without laying eyes on each other, in the church, just before their ceremony.
Then it was off to be married! I love this shot of Morgan looking into her groom’s eyes just moments before they would be pronounced husband & wife!
Morgan and Aaron had such a fantastic bridal party! Each of them were so helpful, and so supportive throughout the day – and it was easy to see they all were having a great time celebrating with the new Mr. & Mrs. Vest!
I couldn’t resist documenting this next moment – Morgan and her girls taking a wedding day bridal party selfie!
Next, we headed into the barn at Little River Bluegrass Barn and the couple shared their first dance as husband & wife. Seriously some of the most precious moments, y’all.
After the party (complete with an ice cream bar AND a cookie bar!), we headed out for one of my very favorite parts of every wedding day – couples portraits! We found this spot under this beautiful old tree that gave us the most gorgeous glowy light!
We also took advantage of this wide open field that was filled with little yellow wildflowers! I love how Aaron is looking at his new bride in this next shot – so adoring. He looked at her like that all day! (P.S. Morgan, you’re gorgeous!)
This next shot is one of my most favorites! (But really, I have so many!)
I love, love, love this shot of Morgan on the right! The epitome of a joyful bride!
And then there were quiet, romantic moments like this one. Ahhh, you two!
Morgan & Aaron, it was an honor to be part of your wedding day and I’m so glad I now call both of you friends! : )
Hillary, thank you again for the opportunity to second shoot with you!
