So, those of you who know me well know that the mere fact that I’ve attempted a crafty diy project is an accomplishment in and of itself. Not only did I attempt, but I also completed said project, and the results are even cuter than I’d expected! Granted, from the time I bought the supplies (decorative wood plaques, chalkboard paint, and antique white craft paint) in October until this past weekend, a coat of primer was the only progress I’d made. Yes, I’m saying I bought all of the crafty elements 4 months ago, primed the plaques, and then lost all ambition and they have sat in our guest bedroom until just this past weekend. BUT the upcoming wedding of my brother-in-law and his sweet fiancé inspired me to finish the project so they can be christened properly in my very first wedding shoot! (Let’s not discuss the 18+ inches of snow that is threatening our plans to soak in that florida sunshine and precious family time this weekend.)
I know what you’re thinking: show us the chalkboards already! So, here they are:
Bonus adorable furry baby shot: our coonhound, Mona, felt that she wasn’t getting enough of my attention so she solved that dilemma by plopping down on the floor right in front of my camera.
I hope all of you stay safe and warm this snowy Valentine’s Day weekend! Thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings! In the coming days/week, I’ll be posting shots from a mini-portrait session this past Sunday with some sweet friends of ours, so come back to visit soon!
